I was with my step-son since he was 2 bio dad has only seen him a total of 48 hrs in 4 years, bio mom left step son with me and I have supported him by myself with out her for past year. I had to do paperwork so that he could go to school, provided medical and babysitting for him, now bio parents are trying to take him from my home. Can they do this? Oh and bio dad was charged with sex abuse and was on probation for 3 yrs. Any help would be great.

I would contact a lawyer and children's services then go from there.

You sound like a very rare bird to me, and a good one. Big big heart.

One of the reasons I suggest this should be moved, is that I am unsure about interim custody arrangements, which you may be able to receive, even temporarily, until this is sorted out in court.

But, it is only an uneducated guess.Please seek legal assistance, quickly, in order to do what you need to for the sake of the child.
