I turn on the a/c compressor button, the indicator is green. The engine bogs down and will stall. When turning on the fan, the engine drops in rpms a bit but will run. Is the problem in the compressor, clutch or electrical system?

The switch activated "idle-up" control valve sounds bad only if it cools while driving. Otherwise, compressor.
The charging system needs a check over too.
