    Tubal ligation & pregnancy
I had a tubal 7 years ago. I haven't been feeling well the last few weeks. I had a period on June 28 & then I had a light one on July 24. It was light with a few clots but I was hurting more than usual. I took a pregnancy test last night & got a faint positive. I took another today & it was negative. I'm concerned about an ectopic pregnancy because of my tubal ligation. Should I be concerned?

Did you read the tests exactly in the time frame stated on the package? If reading it after that time, you can sometimes get a faint line that looks like it might be a positive.

Since you have two different possible results, I would try one more test. Be sure to use first morning urine and be careful not to read the results after the time specified.
If there is any doubt, check with your doctor. It is not common, but depending on how your tubal was done, it has been known to happen where a connection is made at a later time.
