    FBI check with fingerprints
What is actually found in this? Do they also look in my terrible credit history? I applied to the city schools to work in their after school program. I just had a background check done w/o fingerprints for a church nursery job on Sundays. Is this different? Thank You

I have applied to the City schools to work in their after school program( I have a degree)but they asked me to go for fingerprints at the police department. I did this and they charged me $60(school)which I paid when I carried them back to them. They are to do an FBI check on me. What are they looking for? Will they turn me down because I have a terrible credit history? Also, I just went through a background check to work in a church nursery(mth ago) but it was w/out prints. What is the difference? The city schools will reimburse me the $60, but do I lose it if something is found and I don't get the job?

Do you have a criminal history? This is what they are looking for. If you don't, there should be no need to worry.

Unless you are being fingerprinted for a government security clearance, they shouldn't be checking into your credit history.

If there were to be a government security clearance involved, sometimes they will check the credit history.
