Closed friend want to sell her jewelry that she received in 1992 from Germany. The piece is stamped with 333-D-. She want to know that is gold or not, please help, if someone know the answer. Thanks

As far as I know 333-D means 8 karat gold. The higher the number, the higher the karats.

I'm looking for the website I found once that showed all the hallmarks for jewelry, but I'm having a hard time finding it.
