How much above floor closet extension kit
What height should the Closet Flange Extension be from the top of the tile / floor?

Closet flange should be at or slightly below the finished floor. If it's too high, it may interfere with the toilet outlet horn and not seal. If you are putting tile or flooring down, get a closet spacer to raise the level. It will screw right over the old one-clean the wax off first

    Hi Kozata...

Traditionally, a closet flange is supposed to be set on TOP of the finished floor material and then secured properly.

For a repair with flange extensions you can, however, set the extensions so they are flush with the floor.

Use a reinforced wax gasket and a pair of 5/16"closet bolts for best installation result.

I just want to add to Mark's excellent advice...

The 5/16" brass bolts should be 3" long. You will cut them off after the toilet is installed...
