    Peninsula circuit
I am remodeling a kitchen and installing a countertop peninsula. I was told that code requires an outlet at the end under the counter overhang, but need to know if this outlet must be on its own circuit or if it can be linked to another circuit serving the counter against the wall.

Thanks so much for your help.

It does not have to be on the end under the overhang. You just need one serving the peninsula. It can be anywhere on the peninsula.

This can be fed from any 20A small appliance circuit in the kitchen, kitchen counter, DR, pantry, nook or similar area.
