Computer connection via phone line with dial-up host
I need to connect to a computer in a rural area where there is no high speed internet - just phone connections. Purpose is to monitor one or more cameras on the property. Need to set up a computer to computer connection that's initiated when I dial rural computer and have it set up to answer incoming call. Assuming rural computer will serve as host. Computer I'm call from DOES have high speed internet connection (if that's relevant.)

If applicable (and perhaps more logical), I would have the camera system send a notification message (page, txt message, email, etc) based on an alarm (motion sensor, open door, broken window, etc) activication. If the system is web-based, I would have the system (1) connect to the internet as a directive of an alarm and (2) "enable" web access to the camera system. PCAnywhere, and other apps will allow you remotely access your PC/webcams.

What is your budget and level of understanding/connecting video, internet, telephony services?
