I replaced the engine on my MTD 13.5hp briggs put deck back now there is too much slack on deck belt PTO won't engage

• Did you replace the belt?
• If you did are you sure you have the right belt?
• The right pulley on the new engine.
• The right engine?

Would need MTD Build numbers, and B&S engine numbers from both engines for cross reference.

The mtd model is 13ac762f729
The old engine number was 21b807
The newq engine is 21b977
I used the same pulley on the engine as this was also a 1" pulley

What I found so far is the 21b807 crosses to a 21b907 not the 21b977. There are some differences, mainly horsepower.

You sure you routed the belt correctly, is this it?
