Does the timer turn off on a time cycle? If it does then it is most likley a heating element problem. Unplug the dryer and remove the back panel. On the bottom right side there will be your element. 2 screws a couple of wires and a thermostat. Test with an ohm meter or just look for a broken wire.

You have a timer problem if the timer does not turn off on the time cycle. This may or may not cause the heating problem. It still could be the element or thermostats.
