My husband & I are separated since April this year.He now lives in the USA.from October 2009 to April 2010 my husband was claiming sick benefit & council tax benefit the council tax benefit was put into a joint claim without me knowing. I have just received a bill for overpayment of council tax benefit & addressed to me why should I be liable as I was not aware my husband had done this & was not in receipt of any benefits.Where do I stand legally do I have to pay any money owed.
