Tell someone they hurt your feeling
A friend one day was very bitter, when I tried to give her advice she became very negative and starting saying I had no room to offer advice because I had not been through that. She told me my partner and I were still on our honey moon. She is very negative and ugly how do I tell her that I can no longer be her friend for this reason?

Just be honest with her. Tell her just what you posted to us. Remember she's hurting and hurt
Causes people to say things they don't mean.

If she's going through a tough time I'd give her space without ending the friendship unless she's been like this for some time. Sometimes people are not themselves - going through menopause, or a divorce or bankruptcy or a particularly difficult breakup - and sometimes it can be worthwhile to hang in there and correct the situation later when the other person's in a better frame of mind.

If this is her usual behavior though, I would just not reach out and if she contacts you to get together I'd just say, "to be honest, I'm reluctant to get together because we aren't getting along lately".

People who are bitter want to vent, not be given solutions. The best thing to do is say things like, "How awful!" and "Oh, my!" and "That's terrible!" Those are called empathetic responses.

If you are no longer her friend, just avoid her and stay out of her path. (Don't be mean to her. That makes you as negative as she is.) She will get the message.
