Where to go for help with tenants rights in las vegas
Where to start? Here's just a few problems we are having. We gave our landlord $1000.00 a month and a half prior to us moving in, we've been in our apartment for about a month and a half. There's no electrical, powers ran off extion cords from neighbors, water is ran off garden hose in back yard, the tile around tub is not finished, tile through apartments not finished, shower drain leaks very bad, there's a lot more, but you get the point... e-mail me and I`ll e-mail you the other problems.

First no, they will not email you, off board contact is forbidden by the rules you agreed to prior to signing up for this site.

All parts of your question needs to be listed on here, and all of your answers will be posted here.

Next do you have a lease ? If not, merely move.

Have you called code enforcement and/or the building inspector to come and inspect the property.

Items like power off cords is not only dangerous but illegal, as is the garden hose ( does it have a back fill protection in place ?)

As for the tile and the leaks, where they not that way when you inspected, I have to say if you see it and still rent it, that is sort of on you.

Where there hoses and ext cords when you inspected ?

I uess what is stopping you from just moving

We did sign a lease, the landlord promised us that the apartment would be finished prior to us moving in, we were unaware that NOTHING would be done to code. There's no green plate in the bathroom, and the shower has been leaking for about a month now, we have made several calls to landlord and still nothing has been done.
