Why Can't I delete this on my computer?
I downloaded a white smoke translator and now It keeps giving me Adds buy White Smoke Translator and all of that junk, well any ways so when I finally got sick of this I went to the file and right clicked delete It says "The Action cannot be completed because the Folder or file Is open in another place" It does this for a lot of stuff I try to delete.

Probably this program is being loaded at startup. Did you try uninstalling it? You shouldn't delete programs.

By the way, why was this posed in the Access forum?

    Just remove it like thia:

    1. go to the "system" menu
    2. press the "software" button
    3. you should see a window with 4 options
    Pick the first one
    4.search and delete the program

    I hope this helped

It's the same as uninstalling, only an explanation to it.
Press start and you will see "system",press that.

You probably don't even know what I'm talking about.

Oh, I know exactly what you are talking about. The problem is you don't. I checked under XP, Vista and Windows 7. There is no "System" choice off the Start menu. I think you mean Control Panel, but I'm not sure. There is also no "Software" choice under Control Panel. Its called different things in different versions of Windows.

So you are giving advice that doesn't work under all current versions of Windows. And you are giving advice that may differ by version of Windows without knowing what version the OP has. Its nice that you want to help, but we pride ourselves on the accuracy of the advice we give here and your response is just plain wrong.
