Hellooo all, merry xmas! I was wondering if I could be pregnant... I had unprotected sex 13 days after the beginning of my last period and about 8 days after that I noticed a spot of blood on my knickers after using the toilet, I don't exactly know what spotting is but could that have been spotting or is it more like a light period?? I always keep track of my periods and I am now 3 days late :eek:!! I haven't had any cramp and my periods are always regular as well. Well I have just took a pregnancy test and I got back a negative result :confused: it wasn't the first urine of the day but on the pack it says that doesn't matter. Could I still be pregnant? Please please please help I am 17 and verrrrry confused :confused:

In short, yes you could be pregnant.

You had unprotected sex right around your ovulation time. So yes, it is possible. Also, even though the test says that you don't have to use first morning urine, it is very important that you take the test first thing in the morning. That is when the concentration of the pregnancy hormone (hcg) is at its highest.

Yes, unprotected sex not only leads to pregnancy this day in age, but also sexually transmitted diseases, some of which are deadly.

Also, are you ready to be a mother? Do you understand how much that really involves, for the rest of your life? Are you ready for that amount of responsibility?

Most pregnancy tests are quite accurate, whether they are name brand or store brand, first urine or not. If you're stressed about the possibility of being pregnant, that could most definitely delay your period.
