    I owe court ordered child support. I'll be 66 on 3/11. My question is : can the state of Michigan take this out of my s/s? It is payroll deducted now, I am quiting work on 3/11 approx.$ 1,000 per month. E-mail= [email protected]

    Yes Child support is one of the few things that can be deducted from SS payments.

    First, please don't start new threads for the same issue. Use the Answer This Question options for follow-up. Also this is a Family Law issue. I've merged your threads under the appropriate forum.

    If your income changes, you go back to the court that issued the support order and ask for a modification.
