    How to change the string of a gas trimmer. It's a 725r Ryobi.

    If you have bump head design. You have to get the bottom knob off. Holding main part of trim head and turn bump knob. When apart the spool inside is taken out be careful not to loose the spring inside. Usually the ryobis have 2 lines. Cut 2 pieces about 6' each and the insert then into the holes on inside of spool. If no holes some have a hook system if your does keep the line one piece... just fold it in the middle and slip it through the hook wind both strings the same direction at the same time.. Arrows are usually on spool to which direction to wind. Insert spool back into head and put knob back on.. GL hope this helps
