Hello everyone!
I am new to this site and hope that I can get some guidance. I am currently a staff accountant at a small CPA firm. I like my job a lot but for me to advance my boss wants me to get my CPA license and lately I have been feeling I don't want to go in that direction. I know that my boss would be disappointed in me and there really would be no growth opportunities for me if I decide to stay and not become a CPA.
I am very scared at the thought of leaving there, but I know that change can be good. I have a bachelors degree in accounting and I really am open to ideas for a new career. Does anyone have any careers that would compliment a person with about 4years of accounting experience where they don't need a CPA license? Has anyone ever experienced a career change like this in their life?
Comments and suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!
