Meaning of this sloka
Aho nari bhagyawati
Ek hastein gopyate
Bhagyaheenaya kalidasasya
Do mushtya chaturangulam
Oh! Woman so fortunate,
Hiding shame with a palm (or hand)
Unfortunate is Kalidasa [the poet]
Two fists (handsful) - yet four fingers (free)
[It's a rather naughty quartrain - supposedly by Kalidasa, who met a woman coming opposite him at a river crossing, where both had to raise their clothes to keep them from getting wet!]
