What do you think of having a job as a collector?
What I mean when I say collector is... like is someone owes money, for example, a loan. You know you have those people that call the member or customers and ask them about it and when and how they will pay it back.

Does anyone have or had a job like that before. If so, please tell me your experience with it.

    Thanks!

This is NOT a job for the faint hearted.
You will be dealing with all types of people and hear truly heart rending stories as well as a ton of verbal abuse.

    Hello Hot:

No, I've never been a collector. Unfortunately, I have bee on the OTHER side of collecting. Most collectors don't do a good job of collecting. The DO a really good job of being a**holes. Maybe that comes with the territory, I don't know. But, you don't seem to be an a**hole.

Well thanks excon :-) I appreciate that a lot!

@ Curly - When you say "faint hearted" what exactly do you mean?

I have worked as a collector having worked for a finance company early in my career.

I agree with CurlyBen, its not for the faint hearted. Its also not for people who are highly ethical. A collector needs to use a variety of tactics, some, while not illegal, aren't the nicest things to do.
