As far as I know, it's completely safe. I have done it beofre and it doesn't hurt etc.
Some women feel more sexual when they are on their period, so may enjoy it more.
And (suprisingly) it's not as "messy" as you may think!

Remember that you can still get pregnant on your period. It's not a "safe" time of the month--though it is safer than other times, generally. Use protection.

I cannot have sex on my period. It is waaaaaaaay too uncomfortable for me. If your girl is fine with it, there's no reason why you can't, though.

I have had sex with my wife while she was on her period and to most it would seem "nasty", "disgusting" etc... but to each their own.

My wife is more turned on when she's on her period and with me in the military and always gone when she wants it, it happens! Regardless

I don't see it as nasty. It's only another bodily fluid. Generally just too uncomfortable for me personally due to cramps but if there's no discomfort then why not...

I always want more frequent sex about a week before my period till just after so you two may be missing out if you don't have sex. If you can get past the blood and she wants to have sex then go for it. Are you concerned about diseases that are transmitted by blood? If you and your partner are disease free then there is nothing in her blood that will harm you. You can also avoid having sex on the first day of her period which is usually when the flow is heaviest.

Nothing bad can happen but it can be a little ugly, bloody sheets etc...

Well, what "Bad" can happen? You can ruin the sheets and bedding... she can get pregnant...

Outside of that... its just like the other 3 weeks.

Yea sheets can get a little bloody, But all in all, I know plenty of women who love to have sex when she's on her period more. Its natural. And my Fiancé just looks at the blood as a natural lubrication. And its not as messy and you think it will be.

It smells like a hell ! But I think it is not at all enjoyable for both
