I bought a replacement fan motor my old motor had three wires brown,purple and black the new motor has four wires brown,brown/white,yellow and black how do I hook it up to a dual compacitor

You do not hook up the old dual capacitor to the new motor. You hook up a NEW capacitor sized for the new motor. The brown and brown white wires go to the new capacitor. The other two wires go to the load side of the contactor IE 220/240 volts
