I did a 5 year prison sentence. I got out in Dec. of 2006 and I am on probation until 2015. I have not had any violations or dirty UA's since I have been on probation. I went to school as soon as I got out of prison and I will be graduating with a Bachelors Degree in 6 months in Psychology/ Substance Abuse. I have had several interviews and I believe that I am not getting hired because I am still on probation. One of them actually told me to check back when I get off probation. How can I get off probation early? Can I go back to prison and do more time to get off early? I do not have any fines or restitution to pay at all.

The judge put you on probation, and he's the only one who can take you off. Write him a letter outlining your situation and asking him grant your motion. Send a copy to the prosecutor.

Probation? I thought you were on parole when you got out of prison earlier ?
Or did you do all of the prison time and the probation was for another charge from earlier ?
