Hello I own a 1998 acord 2.3vtech auto when cold transmision works really great for about 30 to 40 minutes then only drives 1st gear and sometimes 2nd what do I need to check coud it be the selenoids if they are which ones thanks.

If changing the fluid (try Mobil 1 Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF) does not solve the problem, you should take it to Honda for servicing. Changing the fluid may clean the solenoids and valve body and allow it to shift properly. In turn, this will help re-establish proper hydraulic pressures. Change ATF every 30,000 miles.
