Hi,

I have a gold mesh metallic compact that came with a small pouch. The front of the pouch is with gold mesh and the inside and the backing is sewed with soft black velvet material. I have noticed that there was a very subtle marking on the inside of the bottom compact at the rim which shows a double interlocking circles. Could it be the first logo for Oroton? The first product of Oroton in 1951 was a gold mesh metallic compact.

It may be their markings but if it is gold it would have to be marked appropriately l4 K or l8K.
