Water is leaking into my toilet bowl
My toilet is running every 10 min or so for about 10 seconds. The toilet is only about 4 months old. I did the food coloring test and dye is leaking into the bowl. The flapper was wiped and still the same thing. I do not have a ballcock system, I have the rod with the float on it. What do I need to do? Replace the whole system, or can just the flapper be replaced. The chain has good slack.

Your flopper is warped allowing water to seep through. It is a common problem. Do this:

Close angle stop ( water supply to the toilet )
    Remove flopper
Take it with you to Home Depot
    Purchase new flopper
    Install new flopper
    Turn water On

That should do... One more advice: inspect new flopper for warping while in the store. Just about every other "new" flopper has some kind of imperfection in it. Also, new flopper should be clean, nice and flexible. Lastly, don't try to save money on flopper. As far as the quality goes - you get what you've paid for...

Good luck... Let us know how you did... Milo
