toothache in root cannal filled tooth
Please can someone help me, I have had toothache for over 3 weeks now and after taking Amoxicillin 2 lots from my dentist I am still in a lot of pain, I have a root cannal that I have had for 13 years and never had any problem with this is covered by a gold crown, my dentist has drilled the tooth behind this and has told me the tooth that she has drilled has nothing wrong with it, the only other tooth is the root cannal tooth because there is only 2 teeth in that area of my mouth, My G/P says it is not my sinuses, so I am getting pasted from pillow to post. My dentist has took x-rays before she drilled the tooth that should not have been drilled I am still in pain so it has to be the root cannal tooth, if this is not bad enough the other side of my mouth is hurting now, I go to the dentist every six month, I have even tried to change my dentist but there is very few in the area, The root cannal was done by a real top dentist years ago till he retired. Please help.

You need to see a Dentist - no one here can help you.

Find another Dentist and get a second opinion.

No one here (unfortunately) can figure this out over the Internet if a Physician and Dentist both looked at the problem and couldn't figure it out.

I had a root canal "go bad" after 10 years so I know it can happen.

Find an Endodontist who is a specialist in root canals. He/she should be able to pinpoint the problem. Root canaled teeth DO fail after years of no problems with them.
