    Chest pain
I am a 16 year old female, sometimes I get sharp stabbing pain in my chest, it seems to be my left breast but feels deeper. I can be doing nothing and all of a sudden it happens. It takes my breath away and I can't talk or anything when it happens (it last about 10 seconds)... Lately I have also been getting "throbbing" sharp pains. Whay could this be? Is it worth going to a doctor for? I've had it for over a year at least.

No brainer - Yes and soon

We can't diagnose, but a few things are worth doing some research on: heart attack, mini-stroke and heart valve issue

    Rarely at 16 years old.

Now it could be any number of things from pains caused by your breasts growing to gas pains.

Let your mom know when this happens okay?

My mom is one of those people that if they chopped off a foot would still not go to a doctor... She's a little weird. I've talked to her about it and she keeps saying oh, she never really pays attention and I usually take myself to the doctor. I just don't know about this because usually it is something I know isn't right... Sore throat, constant headache, etc. If you were to feel where you arm and torso meet (kind of by your armpit area close to your breast) and then lay your hand there that is where is hurts. More the side than the actual breast its self. Should I go to walk in or make an appointment. If it helps any I had a heart murmur and a hole in my heart when I was born but when I was 5 I had tests done and supposivly my heart healed and grew out of the murmur... Could this be the problem? No where is open so I'll just ask a few questions here until later :)

If your murmur has closed as a child then this is probably not the problem. They don't open back up.

Every time you go to the doctor and they listen to your chest, this is one of the things they are listening for.

It could be something as simple as anxiety.
