    Help with ID
Please help identify this strange creature that was attached to my windshied. It was 1 1/2 inches long in a semi-hard casing.

Which is it, the flatworm looking thing at the top of the bowl or the millipede at 7 o'clock?

It is at the top, but it is not a flatworm. The casing is conical and hard like a shell. The wide top is a flap that the wormlike creature inside could open and shut slightly.

Is it possible that it's a tusk shell snail? There are supposedly a few land scaphopods but I've never seen one. The conical shell is interesting.

    Catsmine:
Here is a little clearer image. I looked for information on tusk shell snails on the web, but could not find much. Any suggestions for where to look?

Also, the animal was found in north metro-Atlanta (North Georgia Piedmont).

This is about as complete a list as I can find:
