Kohler kitchen faucet single handle removal instructions
My Kohler Kitchen Faucet make a whining sound when on. I am trying to take the faucet apart, but, can't figure it out. If I take the "Hot Cold" emblem off, there is a phillips head screw. If I take it out, nothing happens. How does it come apart? Anyone know?

    Hi Soccerman...

If you removed the screw and the handle will not wiggle up and off you may need to purchase a handle puller... see image. Handle pullers are sold at all home supply stores. Simply set the tool into the screw hole and set the tongs in under the handle and tighten the T handle to dislodge the faucet handle... should pop up and off. You may need to squeeze the tongs tight as you turn the T handle.

Try wiggling back and forth pretty aggressively... usually all you need to do!

Let me know how you make out... OK?

In addition to Mark's excellent advice...

Before you start taking faucet apart - remove and clean aerator first. Run water w/o aerator for a minute or so to flush out small debris. Reinstall aerator. See if that helped...
