What is the best way to handle this new change?
Hi, everyone. I have a 4 year old daughter, her father has never been around. He has asked me to see her on a regular basis( everyother weekend and a day in between) here's the problem: I got pregnant from a one night stand. Until our last court hearing I did not even know his full name. He has a criminal record: felonious assault with a dangerous wepon, Possession of narcotic cocaine greater than 25 grams. I have witnesses for his antagonizing chairacter. I do not feel safe letting him take her just out of the blue. I asked that the courts order supervised visitation until a relationship is established. He did not show up to the paternity court date in 07 and I believe I was granted sole physical and legal custody. I know for sure sole custody. Just this past Wednesday I was told that he drove by my house when I was not home. My daughter was playing outside, he did not aknowledge her and she did not aknowledge him. He antagonized my girlfriend who was babysitting her, my neighbor witnessed it. Im taking both of them to court with me. The evidentiary hearing is Aug 4 2010.

He is the one who filed for the parenting time. He did not show up to one of them and his motion was dismissed. Then he objected the referee's dismissal. I need to know how I can reduce my worry and stress for the change ahead.

This is in the Family Law section and I'm not sure what you are asking. If he harassed your babysitter I trust she filed charges with the Police - ?

The best you can do is go to Court, present whatever evidence you have that the father is unfit and cross your fingers.
