I had my first shot of depo the beginning of September '09, I had my last shot of depo on February 16th '10 . I was due may 12th '10 for another shot but decided not to get it. It is now July 30th and still no period! Should I go to a doctor or still wait it out? I was on depo for six months, it has almost been 7 months (I know it takes about 3 months for it to get out of your system but that still is 4 months with no period!) I have lost 13 pounds since getting off depo, I used to get my period pretty regularly 28-29 days apart.

Please help!

This is common with Depo. It can take a long time to get periods back. The bad news is that you can't assume you can't conceive just because you don't have periods, so you have to take precautions.

I think it took me the best part of a year to get regular periods again after Depo.

I am not sexually active at the moment (That's why I went off depo) so no worry about that, I am just worried I'll NEVER be able to have kids, I never thought I would want my period so bad!

Honestly, this is common with Depo. It's so handy, there has to be a reason it's not the most popular contraceptive in the world.
