While pressure is dropping to zero, is the pump on?

Why are you turning off the well from the breaker?

I replaced the pressure valve, franklin electric control box, and the relay valve/switch(pumptrol). But my faucets keeps running out of water. The pressure valve drops to zero, after 2 minutes (approx) when I turn off the weel pump then back on 5 minutes later it refills the pipes with water, the pressure goes up to 42 then run the faucets for 1 or 2 minutes then the pressure slowly drops back down to zero.

    1. Go out once the pressure is up to 40# and take the cover (grey) off the switch. As you are watching the points, have someone run water. As the pressure drops, at some point (probably around 22#) the points should close with an audible click. At that point the pump should start. Watch that cycle and let us know what happens.

    2. Why did you replace so much? Were you already having this problem before the replacements, or did this just start at that point?

    3. How long have you been at this residence? Has the well system functioned OK up until now?
