She does eat at least once a day, she seems happy and very normal. She often gets nervous around my boyfried I think she is scared of males. She is a very petite pitbull. Always has been skinny , but it seems as if she is losing weight. You can see her rib bones on the side . Not like they are protruding but just a little obvious. Do you think it can be a disease of some sort or should I just start feeding her puppy food?

Has she been to the vet to rule out any medical issues? Has she been de wormed? What brand of food are you feeding her now and has she been spayed?

My answers will vary depending on the answer to these questions.

I had a black lab/rottweiller, she ate about 8 cups of food a day, but you could still see her ribs and spine. There was nothing medically wrong with her (We spent a lot of money to be told our dog was healthy). She was very active and had a high metabolism, she burned the calories before they could turn into fat. I'd suggest taking your dog to a vet, just to be sure!
