The answer is yes,but that does not mean you are.

Missing a period is usually a good sign of pregnancy,but not the only sign,stress and other illness can delay your period.

Keep in mind it takes most healthy couples a year of trying before they conceive.

Better chance of becoming pregnant with the sex after your period, but it may or may not have been too early. It really depends on when you happen to ovulate... for many women it is closer to mid-cycle. Sex right before a period is due is about the least likely time to become pregnant... although it can happen.

As redhed35 said, it can take many couples quite some time to become pregnant even when they are actively trying.
