    Deep frying large chicken legs
Large chicken legs, if you deep fry them, they are cooked on the
Outside and raw on the inside. Is there a trick to cooked them
    Throughout?

No one actually deep fries large chick legs, pastor. The meat is just too dense to cook well that way.

You can parboil the chicken and let it cool before you bread it and proceed as planned. Or, you can take the chicken out when it is the color you desire, then place it on a sheet pan in a preheated 425• oven for15-20 minutes or until cooked through (160•) The chicken will continue to cook slightly after coming out of the heat and should be a perfect (165•)

We deep fry entire turkeys, you just have to go by the poundage.

Yes, but whole turkeys are done in special fryers, where the oil is at a higher heat. Very hard to deep fry large chicken legs in a small deep fryer. You have to cut the leg in half.

Yes, I guess that's true. We use the giant fryer pots and a bunsen burner type thing. I guess when I pictures him frying large chicken legs I was thinking of the same contraption. Turkey Fryer
