My Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) has a very bad skin condition and it is getting worse.
It started last June 2009 after getting her hair shaved for the summer at a groomer. She got a few round smelly spots. The hair falls out in a circle, it stinks and leaves a bald spot. The spots were on her back. She's had a few all winter but not bad. She got more once it started getting warmer. We shaved her again this June 2010 at the same groomer. Now the spots are everywhere. Not only on her back but on her inner and outer back legs, sides, stomach, tail and chest. She is now scratching, licking and pulling fur where it did not seem to bother her before she got shaved again in June 2010. We took her to the vet last year and had the spots checked out. Our vet had no idea what caused them. I have read about Skin-Eze and just placed an order for the capsules and shampoo. Please advise if you have any idea how to cure this skin irritation and if you can advise if you are familiar with Skin-Eze. We also have a Schnauzer and she has no problems with her skin.
Thanks very much.
