Puppy was wormed at 9 weeks old now a week later she has diarrhea and is passing worms. Does she need worming again, visit to the vets or is this normal?

It is normal for them to have a bit of diarrhea and to pass the worms. She may need another treatment, but not until a months time.

It's best to stick to a monthly treatment especially in the summer months. Is this worm treatment prescribed from the vet?

    Hi
Thanks for that - it was a paste treatment given by the breeder not the vet

I am not a fan of over the counter de wormers, they usually cause more damage than not.

The stuff you can get from the vet is fairly inexpensive and very efficient. Most vets will recommend Advantage or Revolution. I have always like Revolution, and I find I only have to use the treatments in summer months.

Good luck! We love pics! :D
