Whenever I make a right or left turn in my car it makes a sound like a part is rubbing some other part. It doesn't matter how fast or slow I'm going, it does it every time. Any ideas what it could be?

Basically, however, on most front wheel drive cars, the wheel bearings, lower ball joints, tie-rod ends, struts, and half-axles need to be replaced every 100,000 miles. My advice is to have all of this work done at once, since it is cheaper. Otherwise, you'll be back at it over and over again. Getting this done will make you fall in love with your car once more.

I just finished doing this on both of my cars--it makes a big difference. Go with quality replacement parts; e.g. Timken and Moog.

My car is an old '92 Honda Accord, front wheel drive. How much is it to get it all fixed roughly?

$1,000--just a guess.

A well-maintained Accord can go 300,000 miles, so you need to keep the expense in perspective.

TX may have mentioned it, I would look under car to determine the part(s) involved while someone moves the wheel back and forth.
