    Mthurler...

Can you post this question as a separate thread in plumbing? If so, please let us know exactly what application you are asking about... OK? Are you trying to join dissimilar pipes?

    Let us know more...

Yes. I have a pvc and an iron to join. There is no space to use an screw because the iron one crosses part of the structure of the floor.

You can call and ask http://www.gpfsupply.com for a fitting that can be used to join iron to plastic, in this case cast iron to pvc

    Hi Mthurler...

You'll want to purchase a shielded transition clamp... see image. These are sold at all plumbing supply stores and they should have an exact match to connect almost any two different pipes. You should NOT need any additional lubricant or sealant on the pipes if you get the right clamp... ;)

Order a PVC x cast iron clamp... be sure to measure the outside diameter of the cast iron so you can order the service weight cast iron or the extra heavy cast iron clamp!
