I'm going to assume we're talking about college here.

As far as helping him to succeed in school, there's really nothing you can do. At 22, he needs to figure his own method for success.

What you can do is support whatever decision he makes, even if it's leaving school.

There comes a time when we have to step back and allow them to make their own mistakes and learn from them in the process. He's old enough to sort his own life out.

You've given him every opportunity to get a career and move ahead, but it sounds to me like he's a little on the lazy side.

There comes a time when the best thing to do is to stop taking care of your adult son. Make him take care of himself by getting a job and an apartment.

Does he have a mental or physical or emotional problem that makes it hard for him to learn ?

But you tell him best luck, hope you find a good place to live and a job, because you are not going to lay around the house doing nothing.
