I am 12 days late for my period what shall I do?

Take a pregnancy test.

I took one about 5 days ago and it said negative I was a week late then. I don't want to waste my money by buying another one to get a negative, me and my partner have not been using contraception so it is possible I could be pregnant I'm just confused!
