If non custodial parent is unemployeed do they still need to pay child support
This case is in CA the mother (non custodial ) has lost her job or claims she was laid off about 1 yr ago. She is now attending school and indicating that she is looking for a job but hasn't found one yet. That is a bit questionable if she is really looking for a job, she is working on her degree. Any ways, I am wondering if I can go to court and ask for min child support however much that is... this woman has not seen the kids for one year and has no plan to exercise her visitation.
