    Friend loans/gives money then sues
A friend loaned another friend money on several different occasions. Sometimes the person who loaned the money said "dont worry about it, it's a gift!" Then other times this same person would say you will need to repay me someday. No agreement was ever written spokn of or signed. The two friends had a falling out and now the first friend is trying to sue the person they gave the money to. Will the courts demand repayment to the friend

If the lender can prove that money was loaned, then yes.

The one side will have to prove
    1. the money was given. And how much was given, was it in check form, was there receipt for the money. So the one side has to prove they gave the money. And they will need to try and prove it was a loan

    2. the other side has to prove it was a gift

The judge will have to decide who is telling the most truth
