Can someone please provide us with a definition of revenue?

Work that you do or goods that you sell. It's NOT cash, but rather the act of earning. If you provide someone with a service, it's the actual doing of that service that makes it revenue, or if you sell something, the actual selling of it is the earnings or revenue.
