I got my tongue pierced yesterday, and I understand swelling is normal. My tongue is really swollen but when I went to tighten the bottom ball I noticed the top of my tongue is rock hard... it starts at the ball and then there is a "line" that goes all the way to the tip of my tongue. Is this normal? Is it just swelling?

I would call the person who did the piercing of your tongue -

I investigated a piercing that went very wrong, very quickly, and ended up in a bad case of blood poisoning. I'm not saying that's the case but this sounds like it could be a problem.

I would call, but there closed on fridays..

I would get myself over to my doctor's office (they have Sat. morning hours) or even the ER.

Is it something to worry about that much?
