How do credit agencies report when a tax warrant is vacated due to
I have had a tax warrant filed against my company by NYS Tax dept. in error. They agree, and have since filed a Stipulation to Vacate Tax Warrant. The warrant appears on my personal credit report even though the tax was a corporation liability. (I am sole stockholder) This has seriously negatively affected my credit score. My question is , does vacating the warrant entirely remove the warrant from the report and will my score bounce back immediately ?

    Hello c:

Yes, but not automatically. You have to challenge the entry on all three of your credit reports. The bureaus will then be required to investigate, and when they see that it's vacated, and NOT in the system, then they'll remove it. It MAY not happen the first time around, so keep doing it until it DOES happen. No, it's not going to be overnight.
