How can we use a 277 volt fluorescent light?
We purchased several 4 and 8 foot fluorescent light fixtures that we later found out to be 8TSN-1400HRS-277V LE3-U. We have a builiding with a 100 amp service and will have 120 and 240 circuits. Can we somehow use these light fixtures? How would we wire them and do they require a specific bulb? Or should we put them on e-bay?
    Thanks

    Ebay.
    They are useless to you.
    Sorry.

The only thing you can do is replace the ballasts, but that might not make economical sense unless the fixtures are good quality and worth the effort.

You'll have a licensed qualified electrician doing this work, right?
You don't plan on DIY'ing in a commercial setting, right?

Thanks for such a fast answer...
We will get them out for sale. They are new but as you said, not for our building.
We are going to wire and put the lighting up in our shop ourselves (private property, residential, not commercial). We do have the services of a retired electrician next door to help and do everything to code.
We just got the lights and haven't asked him yet about using them, I'm sure he will agree with you about putting on eBay..
