    Can creditors seize my home
Under Missiouri law, can credit card creditors go after my house if it's paid and clear? I became disabled and between the loss of income and health insurance and issues, I fell far behind. I have tried but I will never be able to pay these off. In fact the payments I do make are taking away money I need for food. It's pretty bad. I'm 66 years old. Thanks.

I can't find specifics for MO for protection against creditors. MO laws does allow you to protect up to $125K of real property against bankruptcy.

Generally, most states do not allow unsecured debt to seize real property. So the likelihood of them being allowed to seize your home is extremely small. The most that could happen is, if they get a judgment against you, a lien would be placed on the home, meaning it could not be sold until the debt is satisfied.
