    How to view deleted history
I have deleted some history but I want to get it back. How do I do this?

You might have luck with an undeleter program. I use tuneup utilities, which has a lot of useful programs in it, including an undeleter.

When you delete a file, it's bassically flagged up as deleted on the hard disk, but isn't actually deleted until it is written over.

So, depending on how long ago it was deleted it could still be read.

Some limited information of internet history may possibly be found in the system registry files of your PC.

View these by typing RegEdit into Run...

Be careful not to change important files the registry is a sensitive area!

Sorry Mark, but that's just not possible.
It is true to say that some system files do contain internet history (index.dat) but the registry doesn't at all.

Reading index.dat file is an absolut nightmare as it wasn't designed to be human readable.
**Word of warning **: NEVER mess about with the registry as one incorrectly changed value can cause your system to be completely unusable.
